The problem
An e-commerce order has to be translated into the ERP’s business model. Authentication, data mapping and processing failures all become part of the integration, rather than isolated API calls.

Working across API boundaries
The integration uses platform adapters and explicit data mapping. Keeping the API-specific parts separate from the business workflow makes it easier to inspect a failed exchange and test the mapping independently.
Background processing and operational diagnostics are part of the integration work. The current stage is pilot/testing, so the overview focuses on implementation and verification.
